Shoulderpod Z7 - iRig PRE HD cold-shoe

IMPORTANT

• The Z7 cold shoe adapter has been custom designed to mount the iRIG PRE HD audio interface on your G2 video setup so it does not dongle around while shooting.

• Its socket has been custom-designed to slide tightly into any of the G2 cold shoes in order to build a neat and solid video setup.

• It has been 3D printed using an automotive-grade fibber-reinforced composite polymer for supporting tough working conditions.

• While the Z7´s socket might work with other cold shoes, we can’t guarantee it will fit tightly or without getting damaged.

INSTRUCTIONS
How to mount the Z7 on your device.

• Remove the iRig PRE HD’d battery cover

• Replace the original cover with the Z7.

• Check that the Z7 “clicks” perfectly in place to ensure a secure setup.

• As the Z7 is a 3D printed part, you might have to slightly force it in place the first time you mount it.

• Slide the socket into any of the Shoulderpod G2 cold shoes and you’re ready to go!

We can do this by avoiding the high cost of tooling and injection molding, which only make sense for large production runs. The reliability of 3D printed materials is now on par with traditional manufacturing processes and can even meet automotive and aerospace specifications. While surface quality has drastically improved during the last years, it is important to understand that surface finish of 3D printed parts is not yet as smooth as an injection-molded or machined part would be, but this is only a small price to pay for having access to products that can radically improve our workflow.
